Dear friends and colleagues,
After successful regional conference that was organised in 2011 as the Central European Forum on Maintenance, we would like to bring a short overview and show photos from the 12th National Forum on Maintenance 2012, held during 29 - 30 May, 2012, and tradition of which was established already in 2000.
The conference during these years became an event annually bringing together about 200 top maintenance managers and engineers, representatives of leading companies offering services in maintenance, representatives of wide range of industries as well as academics. For all of them the conference has a fixed time and place in their calendars.
The importance of conferences is confirmed by stabile high number of participants both from Slovakia and abroad and their favourable evaluation. We are pleased to say that we are fulfilling the vision given at the beginning: “Provide state-of-art information of high professional value and create favourable conditions for exchange of experience among maintenance professionals from Slovakia and abroad.“
The number of registered participants was 205, out of which 39 foreigners and 161 from Slovakia. As usual most of them came from the Czech Republic - 27, followad by Poland - 9, and by 1 from Brazil, Netherlands, Hungary and Austria.
There were two winners of the "SSU award Maintainer of the Year 2011", - Ing. Ján Petko, general manager for reliability of equipment from the U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o., and Ing. Peter Mezzey, head of reliability and maintenance processes management from Slovnaft, a.s. Bratislava.
The winner of the "SSU award for master thesis" was Ing. Peter Levický , graduate from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava , for the diploma work with topic on „Proposal of safety rules for workflows of maintenance in the stamping shop of the company PCA Slovakia, s.r.o., Trnava“.
